Bristol Man, 41, Found Dead at Wadsworth Falls State Park

Tomasz M. Skoczylas was discovered in the Coginchaug River near the bridge along Cherry Hill Road, adjacent to the park, on Sunday afternoon.

Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Environmental Conservation Police today released the name of the man that was found Sunday in the Coginchaug River near Wadsworth Falls State Park, Middlefield.  

The missing man is Tomasz M. Skoczylas, 41, Bristol.

At 3 p.m. yesterday afternoon, DEEP EnCon Police patrolling in the area were notified by a park patron of a body in the river near Wadsworth Falls State Park.  Officers notified other emergency officials and responded, locating the body of an adult male in the water who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for positive identification and confirmation of cause of death.  No foul play is suspected.
