PD: Drunk Man Threatens to Kill Officers, Then Asks Them to Kill Him

Middletown Police say a 51-year-old city resident was seated at the closed Community Dental Center yelling and threatening passersby.

SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR — On Feb. 7 at 8 a.m., Jason J. Libby, 27, of Kimball Drive, New Britain, turned himself in to police on an outstanding warrant from Cromwell.

TWO COUNTS SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR — On Feb. 7 at 8 a.m., Jose A. Sanchez-Rodriguez, 34, of Washington Street turned himself in on an outstanding warrant.

BREACH OF PEACE, SECOND-DEGREE CRIMINAL MISCHIEF, THIRD-DEGREE ASSAULT, SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR — On Feb. 6 at 12:45 p.m., the mother of Ashley L. Hill, 21, of Washington Street called police to say Hill, who had an outstanding warrant, was at the house.

BREACH OF PEACE, THREATENING — On Feb. 6 at 6:18 p.m., while police were on Main Street patrol, a citizen said there was a highly intoxicated male, Reginald Greene, 51, of LaBella Circle, sitting on the steps of the Community Dental Center, yelling and threatening passersby. Officers responded and saw the business was closed. Greene yelled at them and swore, had slurred speech and glassy and bloodshot eyes and smelled of alcohol, the report says. He refused to offer identification and threatened to kill police, then asked them to kill him, walked toward an officer with closed fists. When police held him he struggled, the report says, and in handcuffs he became even more aggressive. Greene said he would remember officers and kill them the next time he saw them, the report says, and insulted their ethnicities. Throughout booking, police say, he continued to threaten them, accused police of stealing his money and belongings and “when he saw the judge, we would be fired,” the report says. He refused to sign his fingerprint cards.

SECOND-DEGREE LARCENY — On Feb. 6 at 9 a.m., Hasan Choudhury, 29, of Green Hill Lane, West Haven, turned himself in on an outstanding warrant.

NON-STUDENT POSSESSING DRUG PARAPHERNALIA NEAR SCHOOL — On Feb. 5 at 7:15 p.m., Terrice L. Powell, 45, of Hathaway Lane, Manchester, was in a Mercedes Benz parked on Pearl near Liberty Street and drove it on Pearl, making a turn without signaling. Detectives were patrolling this high drug and narcotic activity area. Police saw a white powdery substance on Powell’s leg and found a glass pipe and plastic bag with cocaine residue on him.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT — On Jan. 24 at 3:47 p.m., Roderick Johnson, 29, of Main Street was walking with a victim and asked him to “shadow box” with him; when the victim said no, Johnson punched him in the face and called him a “faggot.” When he was picked up on Feb. 5, at headquarters, Johnson said he was playing around and the victim was an [expletive].
