PD: Ruthless Club Member Caught With Cocaine

Middletown Police say a 45-year-old city man tried to buy drugs by texting a dealer they had just arrested.

 

and Connecticut State Police report the following incidents:

BREACH OF BREACH — On Jan. 18 at 12:30 p.m., Marcus Blue, 31, of Bishop Street, Waterbury, was in Middletown Superior Court being arraigned and, the State Police Troop F, Westbrook, report says, "engaged in tumultuous and confrontational behavior with the judicial marshals, used obscene language and this behavior caused inconvenience and annoyance in the courthouse."

OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN LICENSE SUSPENDED, DRIVING WRONG WAY ON ONE-WAY STREET — On Jan. 23, Franklin G. Tavaras, 37, of Griswold Avenue, New Britain, was driving on Washington Terrace. He had a Dominican Republic ID and Wesleyan contractor ID.

OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN LICENSE SUSPENDED, INSURANCE COVERAGE FAILS MINIMUM, OPERATE UNREGISTERED VEHICLE — On Jan. 21, Dennis C. Owens, 38, of Moodus Road, Moodus, was driving on Spring Street with no front plate.

FIRST-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR — On Jan. 20, Luis A. Colon, 23, of Woodbury Circle was driving on Bartholomew Road in a Mercury Mountaineer and went through a red light at Saybrook Road. He had an outstanding warrant.

DUI, TRAVELING TOO FAST — On Jan. 20 at 9:07 p.m., Scott Bremer, 34, of Bow Lane was involved in an accident on Washington Street while driving a Toyota Corolla, striking a truck-towing trailer at Main Street being towed by a Dodge Ram pickup. The other driver said Bremer appeared drunk and tried driving away. Police say he was slurring his words, his eyes were glazed over and he almost fell out of the car. He failed a sobriety test, police say. He told officers he was drinking six Coors Light at Sliders Bar in Wallingford at 7 p.m. and stopped drinking at 8 p.m. He has a prior DUI, police say, from Jan. 13, 2010.

INSURANCE COVERAGE FAILS MINIMUM, OPERATE UNREGISTERED VEHICLE — On Jan. 16, Michael Ruimerman, 27, of Prospect Street was driving on Main Street with multiple object on the rearview mirror obstructing his view.

FAILURE TO WEAR SEATBELT, OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN LICENSE SUSPENDED, CRIMINAL IMPERSONATION, INTERFERING WITH OFFICER — On Jan. 16, Michael J. Delaney, 43, of Rose Circle was driving on Prospect and failed to stop at the Spring Street intersection. Police say he gave his brother’s name and date of birth and appeared very nervous.

INSURANCE COVERAGE FAILS MINIMUM, OPERATE UNREGISTERED VEHICLE, IMPROPER USE MARKER PLATE — On Jan. 16 at 8:15 p.m., Franklin Brown, 53, of Newfield Court was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe on Grand Street with a plate belonging to a Volkswagen Jetta.

NARCOTICS NOT KEPT IN ORIGINAL CONTAINER, NON-STUDENT POSSESSING DRUG PARAPHERNALIA NEAR SCHOOL, OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN LICENSE SUSPENDED, AND UNREGISTERED VEHICLE — On Jan. 16, Richard P. Smazer, 45, of Main Street, Portland, was driving on South Main Street without a seatbelt. While retrieving his insurance information, police saw a prescription bottle with all different pills in it; he was instructed to place them in the original container and he agreed, police say. On Jan. 16 and 19, he was stopped by police in the same car with the same unregistered car and suspended license. On the 19th, police found an Oxycodone prescription bottle with six 800mg Ibuprophin, five Suboxone and one Risperidone 2mg and a scale in his car to which he offered no explanation, the report says.

OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN LICENSE SUSPENDED — On Jan. 16, Corey M. Wallace, 23, of Randall Court was driving on Main Street without a seatbelt.

INSURANCE COVERAGE FAILS MINIMUM — On Jan. 14 at 10:11 a.m., Jaimie Sarahina, 27, of Randall Court was the passenger in a car stopped on Main Street and Hartford Avenue and found with an outstanding warrant.

POSSESSION OF NARCOTICS, ATTEMPT TO COMMIT POSSESSION OF NARCOTICS — On Jan. 13, Michael Pillarella, 45, of Farm Hill Road texted a man arrested for possession of cocaine with intent to sell and set up a buy, police say, for “40, 60, whatever you can do.” Pillarella asked undercover officers to meet him at a gas station in Rockfall; they convinced him to meet them at CVS on Main Street Extension. Police arrested Pillarella wearing a Rockfall Ruthless For Life motorcycle "gang" vest, police say, and he told them he was picking up his friend Will for drinks back at the clubhouse. The report says they found cocaine in his car and a straw with residue, along with the cell phone with texts to the drug dealer.

INSURANCE COVERAGE FAILS MINIMUM, OPERATE UNREGISTERED VEHICLE — On Jan. 13, Nichole T. Bonner, 32, of Stoneycrest Drive was driving on Spring Street with an improper cover on her rear license plate.

OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN LICENSE SUSPENDED, NON-STUDENT POSSESSING DRUG PARAPHERNALIA NEAR SCHOOL — On Jan. 13, Christine M. Duddie, 30, of Mary Lane, Colchester, was driving on Main Street with a front plate in the windshield, obstructing her view. Police say she was shaking and found a crack pipe and spoon in her purse because she uses crack and heroin. Police also found a used hypodermic needle, the report says.
