Middletown Arrests: Sept. 29 to Oct. 13

55-year-old told Middletown Police he had two beers but his blood alcohol level registered at one and a half times the legal limit.

Middletown Police report the following incidents:

OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN LICENSE IS SUSPENDED, INSURANCE FAILS MINIMUM, OPERATE UNREGISTERED VEHICLE, PROBATION VIOLATION — On Oct. 13 at 2:40 p.m., Christine S. Pettingell, 27, of Thomas Street was driving on Spring Street without front or rear plates and a cracked windshield. She said the plates had been seized during a previous stop. She had an outstanding warrant from State Police Troop H.

INSURANCE FAILS MINIMUM, OPERATE UNREGISTERED VEHICLE, IMPROPER USE MARKER PLATE — On Oct. 13, Rosemary Feliciano, 27, of Maplewood Terrace was driving on Wiliam Street with a center brake light out.

INSURANCE FAILS MINIMUM, OPERATE UNREGISTERED VEHICLE, IMPROPER USE MARKER PLATE — On Oct. 13, Deborah Nowotynski, 53, Grove Street was driving on Spring Street with no front plate.

SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR — On Oct. 13 at 5:45 p.m., Jason Brown, 37, of Walnut Street turned himself into police on an outstanding warrant.

DUI, FAILURE TO DRIVE RIGHT, INSURANCE FAILS MINIMUM — On Oct. 12 at 9:30 p.m., Steven Bortz, 22, of Edin Avenue, Waterbury, was driving a pickup truck erratically on Route 66 as a Portland Police officer followed him toward Middletown over the Arrigoni Bridge. He was driving in the right lane and failed to make the left curve, the Dodge struck the guardrail and stopped. Bortz was not injured.

BREACH OF PEACE, THIRD-DEGREE ASSAULT — On Oct. 11, Kara A. Faraci, 18, of Lake Street and Bryanna R. Mitchell, 18, of Sandhill Road, were in a fight at Middletown High School. Both caused and received minor injuries and were arrested.

DUI, INSURANCE FAILS MINIMUM, FAILURE TO DRIVE ON RIGHT — On Oct. 10 at 10:58 p.m., David Paczkoski, 55, of West Street, Rocky Hill, was driving a Corvette on Route 9 south and it crashed near Exit 16. Police smelled alcohol on the driver, who had glassy and bloodshot eyes. Paczkoski told police he drank two beers at Mad Murphy’s. He lost his balance during sobriety testing. His blood alcohol levels registered at .122 and .120.

OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WITH LICENSE REVOKED, FAILURE TO DRIVE IN PROPER LANE — On Sept. 29, Wendy K. Camp, 58, of Newfield Street had a car accident on Westfield Street when she hit a utility pole. Her license was suspended seven years ago.
