A 25-year-old city man is charged with attacking his three-months'-pregnant fiance, damaging her personal possessions, then sending her photographs of them after she refused to lend him a small amount of money to make the rent,  Middletown Police say.

On Dec. 6, a female victim called police to say she had had a physical fight with her fiance, Rickey David Haney, 25, of Mill Street, and she met them at Stop & Shop, the report indicates.

The woman, who is three months' pregnant, said they fought over $80 she needed to pay for her car and he wanted for the rent, officers report. Haney reportedly "flipped out, and started yelling, screaming, pushing, kicking and shoving her," then threw the woman's items outside and broke things in the home, kept calling and showing her photos  of her belongings on the lawn and sidewalk.

Haney, who was very emotional and admitted to the argument, police say, said he was through with dealing with her since she called him demeaning names and asked to borrow $45 for rent.

He was charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.
