MxCC to Host Registration Event for Free College Classes on July 23

Learn how to secure free college courses with the Go Back to Get Ahead program by attending the Go Back to Get Ahead Open Registration event on Wednesday, July 23 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Middlesex Community College’s Jean Burr Smith Library, located at 100 Training Hill Road, Middletown.

 

At this registration event, prospective students will be screened by Go Back to Get Ahead staff upon arrival. If eligible for this program, students can start the admissions process and learn more about financial aid, registration, and tuition. Representatives from Middlesex Community College, Capital Community College, Central Connecticut State University, and Charter Oak State University will be in attendance.

"Middlesex Community College is thrilled to be hosting this event,” said Gayle Barrett, director of admissions at MxCC. “Students will have the opportunity to meet with multiple campus offices at the same time and location, making the application and enrollment process both convenient and seamless."

Interested students should bring $20 to apply to the college, transcripts from other colleges attended, proof of high school completion, immunization documents, social security number, and photo ID. These items are not required to participate, but will expedite the admission process.

 

Go Back to Get Ahead is a limited-time program by the Connecticut State Colleges and Universities, the Connecticut Board of Regents for Higher Education, and the State of Connecticut that provides up to three free 3-credit courses for Connecticut residents who have been out of college for more than 18 months.
