The need for diagnostic imaging is growing and the workforce needs qualified radiologic technologists. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of radiologic technologists is expected to grow by 28 percent from 2010 to 2020, faster than the average for all occupations. To learn more about a career in radiologic technology, Middlesex Community College invites prospective students its upcoming Radiologic Technology Open House.
“The annual open house is a wonderful opportunity for prospective students to tour the School of Radiology which is located at the hospital and meet various faculty, staff, and students affiliated with the program,” said Judy Wallace, professor and coordinator of the radiologic technology program. “It is a fun night and I strongly encouraged interested students to attend.”
The radiologic technology degree prepares students for entry-level employment as radiologic technologists in hospitals and medical offices. It is sponsored by Middlesex Community College and offered jointly with Middlesex Hospital. Enrollment for this associate degree program is a selective admission process and space is limited. Application to the program does not guarantee admission.

The open house and information session will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Middlesex Hospital in the North One Meeting Room located at 28 Crescent Street, Middletown. For more information and to register call 860-358-6923.
