Friends to Celebrate Late Psychic's Life

Friends of Laura Cartwright of Middletown, who was found dead in her apartment of natural causes on Sept. 6, will take part in call-in talk show on Sept. 21.

A Middletown psychic medium who died late last week will be remembered in a celebratory call-in internet radio show hosted by her friend, a New Hampshire-based paranormal ghost huntress.

Laura Cartwright was found deceased at home on Sept. 6 at 1:30 p.m., according to Middletown Police Lt. Heather Desmond, "after no one could make contact with her. She died of natural causes."

CC Carole, who goes by CC the Huntress in her work as a ghost hunter, says Cartwright's mother delivered the news that her daughter had passed away. The family is holding a very small, private service.

Carole says Cartwright, a mother of two, had a number of medical problems, including heart issues. “She lived her life knowing every day could be the last and people should lead theirs the same way. She had a full life, a great life, talked to lots of people, always giving and kind.”

Friends hadn’t heard from her since around Aug. 23.

Cartwright, who described herself as a clairvoyant and trance medium, and was founder of the Paranormal Association of Central Connecticut, signed paranormal events for the deaf.

Carole is holding a memorial show on USA Paranormal Radio on Sept. 21 at 8 p.m., which will be live streamed on her website. Bishop James Long, theologian and demonologist, will be speaking, as will Deborah Perkins, founder of Maine Extreme Paranormal.
