Obituary: Edmund Julius Wolicki, 53
The Venezuelan native grew up in New Britain and spent the last 20 years of his life in Middletown.
Edmund Julius "Wojo" Wolicki, 53, passed away Aug. 13 at in Middletown, after a battle with cancer.
He was born July 21, 1958, in Caracas, Venezuela, the son of Stephania Wolicka, who immigrated to the United States and moved to New Britain, where he grew up.
For the last 20 years, Edmund lived and worked in Middletown. For the last 10 years, he worked at , where his outgoing and fun personality made him many friends that will miss him and his humor greatly.

Ed leaves behind his girlfriend of many years, Liz Johnson of Middletown, his brothers Robert and Paul Wolicka, as well as his sister Meme Wolicka and several nieces and nephews, his children Edmund Wolicki, 33, of Plainville and his daughter Jessica Wolicki-Miller, 32, of Torrington as well as his grandsons Steven and Dalton Miller.
A memorial service will be held on Aug. 23 at at 6 p.m.
