Reader: Bartolomeo Shouldn't Tout Meriden as Accomplishment

Dante Bartolomeo's "accomplishments" are thin to say the least.

To the Editor:

Regarding the 13th Senate District, Dante Bartolomeo's claim to fame is that she is a "well-known Meriden councilwoman." The fact of the matter is that Meriden is not doing that great, to put it lightly. It is not exactly the garden spot of Connecticut. In fact, I'd say it's right up there with Waterbury and Bridgeport in the running for "armpit of Connecticut."

With that said, it bears noting ... do we really want to hold Meriden up as an example as to why we should vote for Dante Bartolomeo? Is that her great accomplishment? If it is, I am not impressed. No one would ever say, "Gee, Meriden is such a well-run city ... let's send whoever helped it get that way to Hartford so we can all be just like Meriden!"

Enough said.

Vote for Sen. Len Suzio — his accomplishments are many and very impressive!
