Water's Edge Raises $500 For MxCC Scholarship

Local Healthcare Facility Raises Money for Allied Health Scholarship!

Water’s Edge Center for Health & Rehabilitation recently held a “Meatball Sub Dine & Dash” to support the Middlesex Community College Foundation, Inc.  Just over $500 was raised which will be used towards a scholarship for a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) student.

Water’s Edge is a premium skilled nursing facility located in Middletown, which employees over 100 registered CNA’s, and provides long-term care, short-term rehabilitation on our designated “Passport” wing, and a state-of-the-art Dementia/Alzheimer’s unit.   Additionally, Water’s Edge has a partnership with the Middlesex Community College CNA Program where students have clinical training (under the supervision of a nursing instructor) at the facility.

Founded in 1966, Middlesex Community College (mxcc.edu) is part of the Connecticut State Colleges and Universities System. In all it does, Middlesex Community College strives to be the college of its community. By providing high quality, affordable, and accessible education to a diverse population, the college enhances the strengths of individuals through degree, certificate, and lifelong learning programs that lead to university transfer, employment, and an enriched awareness of our shared responsibilities as global citizens.
