Middletown Rotary Club Selects Scholarship Winners for 2012
Middletown Rotary offers $4,600 in local scholarships!
The selected scholarship winners Heather Macintyre of Durham and Maeghann Revis of Higganum for 2012. Macintrye graduated from Coginchaug Regional High School and Revis graduated from Haddam-Killingworth High School in June.
In addition to requiring a 3.0 GPA or higher, the scholarship recipients were chosen based on Rotary’s motto of “Service Above Self”, rewarding students that showed extraordinary volunteer service. A total of $4,600 was awarded this year thanks to the fundraising efforts of the Middletown Rotary members throughout the year.
Middletown Rotary meets every week at 12:15 at First & Last Restaurant, plans and supports a wide variety of service activities, and has informative guest presentations.
