Chandler Howard, Chairman of the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce, has announced that the Chamber has contributed $1000.00 to the Connecticut Trees of Honor Memorial, Inc. The Connecticut Trees of Honor Memorial, Inc. has announced plans to construct a living trees memorial in Veterans' Memorial Park in Middletown. The memorial will encompass a beautifully designed space that will include a tree planted for each of our state's heroes who gave their life serving in Iraq or Afghanistan. A personalized plaque will be displayed next to each tree. The Connecticut Trees of Honor Memorial is a terrific organization. I want to thank Chairwoman Sue Martucci and her entire committee for their great work honoring our nation’s heroes. We are especially excited that this living memorial will be located in Middletown.
