Ho! Ho! Ho! Santa Brings Holiday Cheer to 200 Middletown Kids

Jolly old St. Nick handed out gifts to children and posed for photographs with eager young ones perched on his knee.

Nearly 200 children mulled about a conference room at the city's health center that had been transformed into a winter wonderland enjoying holiday crafts, snacks, story time and other festive activities Friday afternoon.

The Community Health Center of Middletown was the setting of this holiday celebration in which 187 kids, 5 months of age through 14 years, enjoyed the afternoon with a very special guest of honor.

Health Center Social Media Manager Aldon Hynes — who already sports a generous salt-and-pepper beard every day of the year — cheerfully donned a Santa costume and played the part of jolly old St. Nick, handing out gifts to children and posing for photographs with eager young ones perched on his knee.
