Grandparents’ Resource Group Tops Not-toMiss Senior Center Events

Weekly activities for city seniors.

This week the Senior Center will be closed on Monday in observance of Veteran’s Day. Tuesday’s bus trip will be going to Mohegan Sun Casino ($4.00). 

Our annual Holiday Bazaar will be held Tuesday in the main room from 9:00 – 3:00. Come purchase your budget friendly, hand-made holiday gifts from some of Middletown’s crafty seniors.

Also on Tuesday, the Grandparents’ Resource Group will meet upstairs, guided by Karen Nocera. Lunch is cancelled Tuesday. Foot Care provided by Nurse Phyllis Haute will be held Wednesday – by appointment only.  Also on Wednesday, Officer William Warner of the Middletown Police Department will be here to provide a free seminar regarding Fraud Against Seniors.

Thursday, exercise with Ronna will be cancelled to make room for the Free Dental Clinic (continued on Friday).  AARP is holding their Safe Driving Class as well – November special gives Veterans and their spouses/dependents a free class.  St. Luke’s bus trip (postponed from 11/8/12 will run on Friday morning. From 2:30 – 4:00 our monthly “Friday Dinner” will be a traditional Thanksgiving meal. Reservations for this meal must be made by Wednesday - $3.00 prepaid (limit 40).
