Council Will Vote on Eckersley Hall-Senior Center Aug. 30

Eckersley Hall / Senior Center Building Going To Vote August 30th

On Monday, Aug. 13, the will meet to formally approve the building plans for the renovation transforming the former St. Sebastian's School into the long-awaited new Senior Center.The Common Council is holding a special meeting on Aug. 30 at 7 p.m.

The purpose of this meeting is to give a review of the project design, plan, cost, bond language, question the architects and committee and give the public an opportunity to express their support. The goal is for the Common Council to vote to approve the bond authorization and place the referendum question on the November ballot for voters to decide on.

As explained in the May 2012 meeting, it is anticipated that the cost of the bond per average household will be approximately $15.00 annually.
