Workshop for Unemployed/Underemployed Veterans

Presentation and panel discussion on the issue of unemployemnt amongst veterans.

According to a March article in the Washington Post, unemployment among young veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars is at 21.1%.  This is significantly higher than the 16.6% unemployment rate that non-veterans of the same 18-24 year old age group are experiencing. 

Speakers will be Linda Schwartz, the Commissioner for Veteran's Affairs for the State of Connecticut, Terry Brennan, Director of the Office for Veterans Workforce Development at CT Labor and Jeff Thierfeld, expert resume and job interviewing consultant.
