Turkey Collection Point-Urgent Appeal to Middletown Residents

Urgent Need for Turkeys Issued to Fill Thanksgiving Baskets for 350 Middletown families. 

The public is being asked to donate frozen turkeys. If you can help, a refrigerated truck will be stationed at Fellowship Church, 1002 Saybrook Road in Middletown on Saturday, November 19th from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to receive turkey donations. The truck has been donated by Jukonski Trucks of Middletown.

For the past 25 years, the Thanksgiving basket program has been helping families in need enjoy a warm and nutritious meal on the holiday. In 2011, the MCTP has received funding from the Liberty Bank Foundation, Middlesex United Way, and the Middlesex County Community Foundation to support its efforts.

Other agencies participating in the coalition include Cross Street AME Zion Church, DianneAnneli.com, Fellowship Church, Heritage Commons, Liberty Bank, the Middletown Kiwanis Club, the Middletown Rotary Club, St. John Roman Catholic Church, St. Luke's Eldercare Services, St. Vincent DePaul Middletown/Amazing Grace Food Pantry, The Salvation Army, Wadsworth Glen Health Care Center, and Wesleyan University.
