Open House and Reception for New Executive Director
The Rockfall Foundation of Middlesex County is holding an Open House Reception at its deKoven House Community Center to welcome its new Executive Director, Claire Rusowicz
“There will be opportunity to meet Claire, mingle with the foundation's Board and members, and learn more about what the foundation plans for the months ahead,” according to Rockfall president, Jane Harris.
“This will also be a great time for an informal tour of the deKoven House,” adds Harris. The deKoven House, bequeathed to the foundation by the organization’s founder, Clarence S. Wadsworth in 1941, is listed on the national register of historic places and dates back to the 1790s. The foundation preserves and operates the house as a meeting center for community organizations, and to provide offices for environmental and other nonprofit groups based and working in Middlesex County.

The Rockfall Foundation supports environmental education, conservation programs and planning initiatives in Middlesex County. Established in 1935, it is one of Connecticut’s oldest environmental organizations whose mission is to be a catalyst-- bringing people together and supporting organizations to conserve and enhance the county’s natural environment. Rockfall awards grants each year to organizations, schools and municipalities, and continues to hold and manage open space property in the county.
