“A Morning Star Rises” – An Intergenerational Celebration of Christmas

Birth calls for celebration across the lifespan.  At this time of year when we celebrate
the birth of a long ago child in a humble setting, we celebrate also the birth
of every child. As the song by Ysae Barnwell goes, “For each child that’s born,
a morning star rises and sings to the universe who we are.“  From our birth, perhaps each of us
holds a spark of that morning star. 
Might it be the same star that legend tells us found its way over a
little town called Bethlehem? Who knows? Come, let’s suspend the confines of
linear reasoning and wonder together.
