SCORE Workshop: Business Finances

Learn the financial aspects of business from the basic
elements to financial institution relationships during the start-up and
operation phases. Discussion will highlight
the value of key components of documents such as a business plan, financial
statements, and resources available. This workshop is intended to be
interactive incorporating participant experiences.

Workshop Presenter Michael Del Vecchio currently counsels SCORE clients in Middletown.
His background includes starting several business consulting firms, working at
Price Waterhouse in New York City, and reaching the level of Chief Technical
Officer for a large insurance corporation. He is a professional project manager
and has experience working on merger/acquisition teams, developing strategic
plans, executing large financial systems projects, and managing mid-sized
organizations. He is also an experienced technical trainer. Mike is retired
from business. He is actively engaged in volunteer activities serving as a
member of the Board of Directors at WFC in Meriden where he is active on the
Audit Committee and marketing and tutoring high school students in physics,
chemistry and mathematics. He has prior experience as a member of several
boards of directors for non-profits including start-ups.
