Meet author and wildlife enthusiast Maureen Heidtmann at Colchester bookstore

Maureen Heidtmann, author of Midnight Stroll, The Driveby Book of Duck Facts, and Monster Ducks, is a licensed wildlife rescuer, an ecologist, a writing tutor at a community college, a librarian and a graphic designer. She has been a contributing writer for The National Free Press and The Main Street News, for which she also wrote a monthly children's question and answer column called Ask the Amphibian. Come meet the author and hear about her adventures from 4 to 6 p.m. on Oct. 13.
