Katchen Coley Mountain Laurel Preserve to be Dedicated

Middletown's Common Council will meet in Special Session, Thursday, July 11th, at 7:00 p.m to dedicate a recently purchased, 50-acre parcel of open space in Middletown's Maromas area to Katchen Coley, longtime Middletown resident and environmental activist.

The land will be named "The Katchen Coley Mountain Laurel Preserve," and is a beautiful and and emblematic section of what has been called "Middletown's Last Great Place."

Coley has been a member of Middletown's Conservation Commission for many years, and has advocated for environmental issues locally, at the State House, and nationally.

The public is invited.
