Leadership & Experience

Sea Scouts is youth led and adult mentored. You and your shipmates lead your Sea Scout program.

Cruising

The best part of Sea Scouts is cruising and mastering the skills you learn with your shipmates.
ADVANCEMENT & RECOGNITION
Sea Scouts are recognized and rewarded for the things they learn and do.
Sea Scouting in America was founded in 1912. That year, Arthur A. Carey of Waltham, Massachusetts, had Sea Scouts using the schooner Pioneer and was appointed Chairman of the National Council Committee on Sea Scouting.

Sea Scouting is a coed outdoor Venture Program, which is part of the Boy Scouts of America, for young adults 14-21, and their adult advisors.
Young men and women interested in boating and participating in a nautical program should put this join night on your calendar as a ‘must do’. Adults 21 and over are encouraged to attend and be a part of the leadership for this new SHIP.

Don’t just WATCH what is happening, BE what is happening.
