This non-competitive, 90 minute class honors the classical yoga teaching style brought from India in the 1950's by Swami Vishnudevananda and is still practiced every day around the world. We will begin with breathing exercises or pranayama, warm up with Sun Salutations, begin a series of twelve postures to improve the flexibility and strength of the spine and end class with deep relaxation or savasana. Remember, the body is as young as it is flexible! You will devote 90 minutes a week to the advancement of your physical and spiritual practice. Women and men of all abilities are welcome and encouraged to attend.
