Join the students, alumni, and faculty of Graduate Liberal Studies at Wesleyan University for an evening lecture and reception. Professor Bill Herbst will present "What's Happening in Astronomy Today?" and give a tour of Wesleyan's Van Vleck Observatory.

The tour will culminate with a viewing of Jupiter, and a light reception. If the night is clear, we'll venture outside to observe constellations. Those who stay on will be greeted with warming beverages, and - hopefully! - a sighting of a stray 'falling star' from the Geminid Meteor Shower. This event is the third in a series of five celebrating 60 years of Graduate Liberal Studies at Wesleyan. Please call (860) 685-3345 to RSVP to this event, or visit our website for more details at http://www.wesleyan.edu/masters . Admissions staff will be available before and after the lecture to talk about the program with prospective students.
