Help Keep Middletown High Seniors Safe by Supporting Project Grad

Keeping 100% of our MHS seniors safe on graduation night is our goal! Here's how you can help.

After the mortar boards are tossed in the air and Middletown High School's Class of 2013 graduates, the celebrations will commence. Whether or not the celebrations include drugs, alcohol, and driving is the concern of the our committee, which has been planning Project Graduation since the start of the school year.

Keeping 100 percent of our MHS seniors safe on graduation night is our goal!

Project Graduation is a great party. It's a celebration of the accomplishments of our senior class, a last night when they can all be together in the school that holds so many memories for them.

There's music, food, dancing and a ton of other entertainment, from 11PM on graduation night until 5AM the next morning, when they'll hopefully head home and sleep until noon. Parent volunteers will be on hand all night long to keep the kids safe and entertained. That's our mandate and we have an amazing night planned!

But let's not lose sight of the reason why safe graduation parties exist and why parents spend so much time planning and raising money to host them. We want our kids (and others on the road on graduation night) to LIVE to drive another day. Some sobering statistics from Mothers Against Drunk Driving (M.A.D.D) provide all the reason we need to host this event. Teen drivers are three times more likely to be involved in a fatal crash and almost half of all drivers killed in auto accidents tested positive for alcohol in their systems. Enough said.

Here's how our Middletown community can help to support our Project Graduation event:

  • Come to MHS on Thursday, March 28th at 7PM when Comedy Hypnotist Dan LaRosa will perform his hilarious, family-friendly show to benefit Project Graduation. Tickets are just $10 for adults, $8 for students and seniors and are available at the door. 200 LaRosa Lane, Middletown.
  • Middletown High Grad Party Dedicated to Boundless Spirit of Christine LaRosa
  • Donate cash, food or items for raffles to Project Graduation. Our email is MHSPGrad@gmail.com and our donation form is below. 100% of donations go to the party!
  • Offer to sponsor a Project Graduation fundraiser at your place of business! We'll come and bring along parents and teens, too!

Our goal is simple: Host a great party for our seniors that's more attractive than partying and driving. That's an event our whole community can support.
