Save Big Bucks on Restaurants, Fitness, Travel

This week, Frugal Family scoured our local sources to come up with great deals in Middletown and surrounding areas. Remember to check with the merchant for additional conditions:

• I have Groupon emails sent to my account every day. They offer deals on everything imaginable! Buy the offer during a limited amount of time. The deal, however, once purchased, is good for a year. They can also be received through Facebook or Twitter. Today’s deal was half off $30 that you spend at The Corner Pug in West Hartford (yummy!). The deal sold out when 1,000 coupons were purchased in just a day.

• FITT Factory in Cromwell at 17 Chestnut Court has a coupon for $100 off 10 fitness sessions. If you are determined to get in shape, this can get you started.

• If you join the mailing list for First and Last Restaurant on Main Street at the corner of College Street, you’ll receive a 25-percent-off coupon for dinner.  It takes five minutes and saves you a few dollars on an excellent night out.

• An online site for daily deals can be found at livingscoial.com. If you have kids and are looking for something to do, this site will not only give you ideas, but provide you with coupons to do it! They offer discounts on spas, admissions to parks and theaters. Not only are there deals in the Hartford area, but suggestions for things to do in places you travel … and some helpful coupons to sign up before you go!
