National Weather Service Warns About Black Ice

All of Middlesex County, including Middletown, is affected by the warning which runs through Wednesday morning.

 

If you are out driving tonight and tomorrow morning, the National Weather Service says there is a potential for danger with the cold temperatures in Middlesex County.

The NWS has issued a special alert cautioning motorists to be aware of the potential for black ice tonight through mid-morning Wednesday.

“Plenty of low-level moisture over the region tonight may lead to the development of black ice, especially on those surfaces that remain untreated, the NWS warns.

"The icy conditions are expected to dissipate by mid morning. Motorists and pedestrians should use extra caution when venturing out tonight and Wednesday morning,” the statement read.
