A Virtual Walk in the Woods Exploring Colonel Clarence S. Wadsworth's Legacy

Long Hill Estate's virtually untouched trails allow strollers to experience the environmental vision of Middletown's earliest conservationist.

Though bordered by hubs of activity — Mercy High and Snow Elementary schools and Wadsworth Falls State Park — the Wadsworth Mansion at Long Hill Estate is a quiet, arboreous oasis which encourages exploration and observation of the natural world.

Patch brought along a camera to record a recent stroll through the expansive forests and pastures of Colonel Clarence S. Wadsworth's former land in western Middletown.
