Friendly’s: Kids eat for $1.99 on Wednesdays. While it’s best not to eat out when trying to conserve funds, this deal at Friendly’s helps you not break the bank. Kids eat for $1.99 with the purchase of an adult meal. It is offered at Friendly’s locations nationwide.
Michael’s Arts & Crafts: All classes from The Knack (club for kids) are free. Coming up soon are Make-It Take-It Bottle Caps and an Easter Chick event. Some classes do have a small fee (usually $5). It’s a great way to keep your kids busy and the crafting mess out of your home. Michael’s often offers free crafting demonstrations for adults as well.

Mamapedia Sweet Deals: This site offers both nationwide deals and geographically specific deals. The link for Hartford is the closest available site for Middletown folks. Most of the products and services are discounted by 50 percent or more. Even if you don’t end up purchasing any of the deals offered, the site can give you some good ideas for innovative kids’ products. Make sure to read the fine print on all deals, because there are specific expiration dates and terms provided for each offering.
