New England Civil War Museum Posts Winter Schedule

The museum is run by the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War in a fully preserved Grand Army of the Republic Hall on the second floor of the Vernon Town Hall.

The New England Civil War Museum will be open twice each month through March. 

The doors will be open for exhibit viewing from noon to 3 p.m. on: 

• Dec. 8 and 22.
• Jan. 12 and 26. 
• Feb. 9 and 23. 
• March 9 and 23. 

The museum is run by the Alden Skinner Camp No. 45, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, and is located in a fully preserved Grand Army of the Republic Hall on the second floor of the Vernon Town Hall. 

The hall looks like it did in the 1800s for post-war meetings. 

The museum features artifacts like uniforms, artwork, recruiting posters, weapons, and even a few personal items from local soldiers.
