ConnectQuest Helps Local Small Businesses Attract Nearby Bargain-Hunters

“Do You CQ?” It’s a phrase becoming familiar in Middletown, Connecticut, the test market for ConnectQuest’s new free app for iPhone and Android smartphone users. Simply download and install the ConnectQuest app, then adjust the user-friendly settings to opt-in to categories for the coupons you want to receive, such as Mexican restaurants, shoes or jewelry. Then choose the distance, whether it be 100 feet or 75 miles, that you’re willing to travel to get the bargains you’re after. On the storefront side, the ConnectQuest system gives local business owners complete control over the content and scheduling of incentive coupons. An affordable monthly fee provides each local business with a patented CQ transponder that sends coupon alerts to passers-by who have downloaded the app. Window signage alerts potential shoppers that the business is a CQ participant, and encourages window shoppers to scan the QR code to download the app and start receiving instant discounts. “After three years of development and one year of beta testing, we’re ready to roll out ConnectQuest nationwide,” said ConnectQuest founding partner David Moldavsky. He and his business partner Joseph Tocco say that ConnectQuest does something no other location-based service can do. “Our patent protected technology allows us to precisely target potential customers when they are within a few feet of a storefront. This kind of accuracy can not be delivered by GPS, cell tower triangulation, public Internet router positioning or geofencing.” The ConnectQuest System is designed to send an immediate message to a potential customer’s Smartphone as they pass by a ConnectQuest member business location. With ConnectQuest, participating local businesses can offer time-sensitive incentives or rewards to motivate the customer to come in and shop. With ConnectQuest, every casual passerby is a potential customer. “I’m very excited about the potential for ConnectQuest,” said Jerri Lorenson, owner of Trendz on Main in Middletown. “As a small business owner in today’s economy, I have to be extremely careful about how I spend my advertising dollars. ConnectQuest is something I can afford. As more people download the app, we’ll get the customers, and they’ll get the discounts on things they want. It’s a big win for everyone,” added Lorenson. In addition to instant notification, users are able to perform searches anytime from anywhere based on search criteria that include business type and how wide an area they want to search. Download the free ConnectQuest App from the Apple App Store, the Google Play Store, the ConnectQuest web site, or other phone-specific app download sites.
