Middletown's Vegan Restaurant to Hold Grand Reopening Friday

Meatless and dairy-free has never tasted so delicious. Sample it yourself at the new location in Middletown's North End.

The former Master Industrial Supply storefront at 606 Main Street in Middletown has been transformed into a vegetarian wonderland marked by the well-known neon-lit carrot.

Fully settled into its new digs, It's Only Natural Restaurant, which moved in late July from Main Street Market — where it has been for more than a decade— and is celebrating this Friday night with a grand reopening party.

Already, the new location, whose size is about the same square footage, has allowed owner Renana Magee to begin a return to ION's roots in creating a menu that's entirely free of animal products.

You've read that right — unless a diner asks for dairy cheese instead of the amazingly cheese-like cashew "parmesan" topping — there isn't a trace of animal products on the regular menu.

For the next few weeks, until it secures a liquor license, It's Only Natural is on "bring-you-own-beverage" status.
