Middletown Businesses Among Connecticut Magazine's Best
Middletown's historic diner, eclectic gift shop, stellar bakery and cupcakery, and New York-style architectural salvage showroom made the list of top dining, family and shopping spots statewide.
This city's youth playhouse, inimitable North End tavern, an iconic and historic diner, architectural salvage showroom, and stellar bakeries made Connecticut Magazine 16th annual Best of Connecticut list this month.
Categories published in the September issue include dining out, family, fun, services and shopping and featured hundreds of winners statewide.
Among the dining winners were Middletown's Mondo Pizza and O'Rourke's Diner. Oddfellows Playhouse was chosen for family activities, notably for its generous tuition allowance, Eli Cannon's Tap Room for best bar, Vinnie’s Jump & Jive for best dance class, Irreplaceable Artifacts for best antiques, Tesoro for best gift shop, A Little Imagination Cakes for best cakes and NoRa Cupcake Co. for best cupcakes.
Many of these Middletown businesses have also made the annual Advocate's Best of Readers Poll.
