Little Imagination Cakes, Datura: Modern Garden Star on National Wedding Site

Hope Wright's delicate two-tiered cake and Tony Palmieri's orchid floral creation were the centerpiece of a same-sex marriage held at Ellington's new wedding venue, Pinnacle View.

Two small Middletown businesses that specialize in one-of-a-kind weddings are featured on the one-stop wedding planning website One Wed.

Two of the city's most creative entrepreneurs, Little Imagination Cakes, helmed by Hope Wright, and Datura, A Modern Garden, run by Tony Palmieri, were responsible for the cake and flowers at video for the soon-to-open brand new outdoor wedding venue in Ellington, Pinnacle View

Their work was the centerpiece of the same-sex wedding promo video styled by Engaged CT, based in Mansfield Center, for Pinnacle, which will open this spring. The One Wed article, "Metallic and Purple Splendor in Connecticut" gathers all the lovely photographs from the film shoot.

Photographs of the affair were shot by Laura Dee Photography of Wallingford and showcased in the spring 2014 Connecticut Bride magazine. Palmieri created the purple floral centerpiece with orchids, flowering cabbage and vines he gathered from the Pinnacle View grounds.

A Little Imagination Cakes began in early 2009 with Wright's culinary creative talents. Originally a part-time caker for friends and family, she soon found herself dedicating more and more of her time to confectionary creations.
