Gov. Malloy to Keynote Chamber's December Member Breakfast

Connecticut's governor will speak to business leaders from Middletown and surrounding communities about the state's economic well-being and plans for the next year.

The Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce welcomes Gov. Dannel P. Malloy as guest speaker at the next Member Breakfast Meeting Dec. 10.

The event, expected to be attended by close to 1,000 business leaders, will be held at the Crowne Plaza Cromwell, 100 Berlin Road, Cromwell, with networking at 7 a.m., a breakfast buffet at 7:45 a.m., and the meeting program running from 8-9 a.m.  

Cost is $20 for members and $30 for non-members. Registration is required online at The Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce.

Following the event, the chamber will host an information session on Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy, is a program allowing commercial and industrial building owners to finance qualifying energy-efficiency and clean energy improvements through placing a voluntary assessment on their property tax bill.  

Six Middlesex County municipalities have taken steps to opt into the C-PACE Program: Chester, Durham, East Haddam, East Hampton, Middletown and Westbrook. 

Staff from The Clean Energy Finance and Investment Authority will give a short presentation on the C-PACE Program and will be available to visit with commercial property owners and answer questions. 

This session will begin at 9:15 a.m. in the Jersey Room at the Crowne Plaza Cromwell, adjacent to the main ballroom where the member breakfast meeting will be held. There is no additional charge.
