Electric Cars the Focus of Middlesex Community College Expo

The state is sponsoring the EVConnecticut Expo at the Middletown college, where electric vehicle technology wil be the topic of discussion.

Ever wanted to know how an electric car works? Fortunately, you don't have to drive far to find out.

The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection is sponsoring the EVConnecticut Expo, where electric vehicle technology will be on display for those interested. The event is happening at Middlesex Community College in Middletown on Tuesday, July 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The is located at 100 Training Hill Road and the meeting will be in Chapman Hall. 

At the EVConnecticut Expo you will:

  • Have a chance to explore the newest electric vehicles on the market
  • See an array of electric vehicle charging equipment
  • Connect with electric vehicle enthusiasts
  • Get all your electric vehicle questions answered in one place, from technology professionals
  • Discover ways to help improve our environment while saving money on gas or drawing new customers

Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection Commissioner Dan Esty and Connecticut Department of Transportation Commissioner Jim Redeker will speak about the ways that Connecticut residents can be a part of the shift to electric vehicles.
