Construction Of New Middletown Senior Center Set To Begin In September

The $4.85 million project to renovate the Eckersley Hall Building on Durant Terrace is tentatively set to begin in September and should be done within nine to 12 months.

By the end of September, if everything goes to plan, the $4.85 million renovation of the Eckersely Hall Building into Middletown's new community center will be underway.

The Hartford Courant reports that the Eckersley Hall Building Committee is expected to select a firm to renovate the building at the start of August and work should begin on the building sometime in September. The construction is expected to take between nine and 12 months, according to the newspaper.

The town has bought the Eckersley Hall Building for $800,000 and the renovation should cost around $4.85 million. To learn more about the renovation, click here
