Community Health Center: From Ground Up [VIDEO]

Saturday's ribbon-cutting for Middletown's 40-year health care center, the culmination of a year and a half of construction, is a true community endeavor.

Middletown has watched what at one time was the parking lot for Eli Cannon's Tap Room transform over the last year and a half into the new home for the — at 675 Main Street.

Since the ceremony that marked the construction halfway point last May, Middletown Patch has photographed the progress of this $17 million project designed to Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design standards — from the placement of the 7,000-pound ceremonial beam signed by community leaders and officials, students and CHC staff, to Saturday's ribbon-cutting and building tours.
