10,000 Plus Expected For Middletown's Motorcycle Mania

Harley-Davidson and every type of chopper will line Main Street Wednesday for this eighth annual event sponsored by the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce.

Mother Nature looks to be cooperating on the weather front with Wednesday's Motorcycle Mania, which is shaping up to be yet another huge event downtown.

The forecast calls for 75 degrees and partly sunny skies tomorrow for the cruise-in, which runs from 5-9 p.m. Residents should keep in mind that Middletown Police will be closing down Main Street from Union to Washington streets at 3:30 p.m., so drivers are encouraged to keep that in mind and find alternate routes.

In 2012, more than 5,000 motorcycles lined Middletown's Main Street, with 35 vendors and upwards of 10,000 people stopped by to take in the sights and sounds, according to Cathy Duncan of the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce.
