Haiti's Back Porch At Mystic Outdoor Art Festival
Haiti's Back Porch supports Haitian artisans directly from them in Haiti, and they receive in full the prices they set. All profits from the store go back to Haiti to support their programs.
Haiti's Back Porch will have a tent set up on in front of St. Patrick's Church during the August 11th & 12th Mystic Arts Festival! Meet some of America's finest artisans on the picturesque streets of Historic Downtown Mystic during New England's premier professionally juried outdoor art show!
More than 250 fine artists will exhibit oils, watercolors, photography, pastels, sculpture & acrylics. Saturday, 10 am to 6 pm Sunday, August 12th Over 60 fine crafters will display their creative works. Plus, there will be exciting children's art activities and a great array of food and beverage items! The second weekend in August is set aside every year for this exciting event. Brought to you by the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce . Volunteers are needed for Haiti's Back Porch. Call 860.344.9547 if you are interested in helping out at our booth!

September 28th: “Chair-ity” for Haiti
Friday, September 28 5-8pm at The Mystic Art Center, in Mystic CT Join us for a night on the Mystic River featuring silent auction of unique chairs to benefit Haitians in need. Find unique styles of chairs for your backyard, poolside, winter cabin, or right in your living room. Enjoy refreshments and music entertainment at this beautiful venue on the Mystic River. We are accepting chair donations! Please e-mail or call if you or someone you know would like to donate a decorative chair for auction!
October 25 -31st: Haiti Immersion Trip
The Office for Catholic Social Justice Ministry is partnering with the Diocese of Norwich "Outreach to Haiti" to offer an immersion trip to Haiti this fall. As part of the trip, participants will visit Catholic Relief Services-funded projects, an orphanage, and food and educational projects. The cost is $480 for lodging, breakfast, dinner, and ground transportation; this fee does NOT include lunch or airfare. Limited space is still available for the October 25 - 31 trip.
