Wendy Black-Nasta Honored for Supporting Humanitarian Projects Worldwide

The Middletown resident is an international jewelry designer who created the International Peace Belt, which has traveled to 25 countries on five continents.

Wendy Black-Nasta of Middletown, director of Artists for World Peace and internationally known jewelry designer, is one of three women to be honored Saturday by the Center For Serenity.

The Serenity Award, given by the West Hartford-based non-profit organization providing counseling and education with a spiritual base, will also be presented to Mary Lee Morrison, peace educator and author, and Victoria Christgau, director of the Connecticut Center for Nonviolence, on Saturday at 5 p.m. at the Friends Meetinghouse, 144 South Quaker Lane in West Hartford.
