Rock Musical 'Jesus Christ Superstar' Soars to New Heights

Audiences have seen them saccharine sweet in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, sorority sassy in Legally Blonde and buttoned-up and briefcased in How to Succeed in Business.

Just when you thought they couldn't get any better, the supremely talented teens who make up the Middletown Stage Co. have outdone themselves — this time putting their spin on the longest-running musical in London's West End history.

Fans of the Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber rock opera will be blown away by the talents of Ty McCombe, Peter Bailey, Keith Geldhauser, Theo Sevilla, Nick Maturo, Andrew Gilliland, Miguel Angel and many more as Middletown Stage Co. brings "Jesus Christ Superstar" to the Middletown Performing Arts Center for three shows Thursday to Sunday.

Ali Sinicrope is the program and artistic director and her husband Aaron Sinicrope is music director.

Middletown Stage Company is a community theater for all ages that emphasizes the process of artistic collaboration and instills a disciplined work ethic. By practicing professionalism, collaboration, and emphasizing individual development, we bring to the stage high quality theater productions.

The musical plays at 7 p.m. Thursday to Sunday at Middletown High School, LaRosa Lane. Tickets are online at Middletown Stage Company.
