So Over 'The Mentalist'

The Mentalist, 10 p.m., CBS

I have entered that stage with this show where I am deeply assessing our relationship. It is the beginning of the end, I believe. Sure, I'll keep TiVoing it for a while, but they will start to stack up, and I'll hit play and then stop, and then play again, and then I'll fall asleep. It just seems so formulaic to me at this point. And the Red John stuff is dragging. So, The Mentalist, it might not be you. It might be me. But I see the writing on the wall.

Wipeout, 8 p.m., ABC

I am not going to lie. The 10-year-old and I danced a jig and cried tears of joy when we saw this on the upcoming schedule. Punched it immediately into the TiVo and have been enjoying repeats ever since. Of course this incarnation is "Winter Wipeout," which is even better because there are obstacles called the Snowplow Sweeper and the Spinning Ski Lift. Seriously, we are stoked.

Jersey Shore, 10 p.m., MTV

Speaking of stoked, our unlovable gang of misfits are back from Miami and ready to drink to excess and be disgusting in public on their home turf! I know, I know, none of you admit to watching this, but I decided long ago I have no pride. Angelina is gone for good, and "Snooki brings her friend Deena to the Shore for the summer; tensions fly on the first night back."

The Facebook Obsession, 9 p.m., CNBC

I'd watch this, but I'm pretty sure my strawberries will be ripe right around this time, and I don't want them to wither, because I need to bake some shortcakes in my bakery. Oh, and I think I put a hit out on a guy.
