John Himmelman's Newest Book, 'Cricket Radio,' Sheds Light on the Trilling of Night Singers

Killingworth author and naturalist John Himmelman is the guest tonight at 7 p.m. at R.J. Julia Booksellers in Madison. His latest non-fiction book is "Cricket Radio: Tuning In the Night-Singing Insects," Belknap/Harvard University Press (260 pages, $22.95).

Himmelman’s narrative weaves together his personal experiences as an amateur naturalist in search of crickets and katydids with the stories of scientists who study these insects professionally.
