The Middletown Downtown Arts District is proud to present the North End Gallery Walk on Aug. 15 from 5-8 p.m. The Gallery Walk will be held at the North End of the city, consisting of 10 local businesses, all in support of the revitalization of culture in Middletown’s Art District.

This event will boast great dining deals at local Middletown businesses and establish a closer community throughout the North End of Middletown.

Armida Espaillat (b.) Armida is a former teacher and award-winning artist/interior designer after moving to US with her family, she focused on herself. Painting mementos and photos of her childhood in the Hisponiola. In 2012 Armida's work earned her a spot as a finalist in the 2012 ESSIE Awards.

"It came as an experiment. A try at once the medium. I took something old and used the same  recurrent theme of my country. Finding an image of a young boy in the nineties that saw the ugly side of life. I took my start using collage and texture brought together in the use of oil in color. I created a story, adjoining Vivaldi and symbolism I managed to form an idea of what could go on behind the face in the picture, and what his struggles would amount to."
