The Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship Committee of Greater Middletown will host its 19TH Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Celebration on January 16, 2012 at 12:30 P.M. Deacon Art Miller, Director for the Office for Black Catholic Ministries for the Archdiocese of Hartford and Active Civil/Human Rights Activist will be the keynote speaker. Please join us for inspirational remarks at 12:00 P.M., at the corner of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Way and Main Street, followed by the celebration at The Church of the Holy Trinity, 381 Main Street, Middletown, CT.
This year’s celebration will showcase youth as a key part of the program with a presentation from Oddfellows Playhouse Youth Theater, praise dancers, soloist and youth speakers.
This annual event is well attended and supported by the community.
