Fiber Arts: The Painted Silk Scarf

Explore textile design through the art of the painted scarf. Learn various silk dying techniques while creating a piece of wearable art that reflects your unique style. Class will provide basic instruction in silk dying and painting techniques, salt application, and rubber stamping techniques. Additional instruction will be provided on the use of lines, shapes, patterns and colors in the creation of art. Each participant will have the opportunity to create three painted silk scarves.
