Warming Center Set to Open Nov. 17 as Respite from Cold

Middletown's winter shelter funding is courtesy of the City of Middletown, St. Pius Church, Middlesex Hospital, and the Xavier High School student body.

Beginning Nov. 17, Middletown's warming center will reopen for the season at the Church of the Holy Trinity, 381 Main Street, according to a press release issued by the health department.

The center will be open to the public, seven days a week, from 9 p.m. until 7 a.m.

Although it is not a shelter, the warming center provides hot beverages and a temporary respite from the cold for those in need. Personal belongings are allowed but storing items is not permitted.
